Thanks to my good contacts to Deshima Music and my new "job" at our local radio, 
I had the chance to get an interview date at the Atrium Hotel in Mainz - Finthen. Knowing a lot 
about Camargue and Camargue - Flamenco, we just became good friends. 
They came to Germany for 2 TV gigs to present their German release of "Gipsy Legend" CD
The interview was recorded with a mini-disc recorder, including a song just played for this 
occasion.

What did Antonico tell:
An US Tour is planned, September '99, they have no personal problems with the Gipsy Kings, only 
the managements have problems, but both group members go to the same bars, play together at 
family meetings, marriages etc.
Antonico lived for 10 years in München ( Munich ), so his German is very good, thats why
he recorded a CD with Laïlo in Germany.

In Antonico's opinion, Los Reyes is at the moment the better group compared to Gipsy Kings, with
Mounin, they have the best singer, Marios guitar is one of the best ( more to that subject 
see later ), they are young, have no health problems.

The morning was very harmonic, friendly, a succes !!

In the evening, Jörg Spiller, Morena Records and Christian "Felipe" Philippi, from Laïlo came
and it was a "fiesta flamenca" !
Good food and drink were followed by better music. 
At this occasion we learned, that Mario Reyes, as left-hand guitarplayer, is able to play 
a left-hand chorded guitar as well as a right-hand chorded guitar ( wrong chorded for him )
without any lost of quality !
So the Fiesta finished late at midnight after learning about Antonico's guitar tuned with 
new harmonics.
